I’ve decided to start blogging on the basis that i waste a ridiculous amount of time nowadays, and it wouldn’t be that detrimental for me to spend an extra 10-15 minutes everyday keeping a record of crap that happens to me.
This epiphany came to me while i was taking shower today. i also discovered that cold showers feel pretty good. Up until today, i’ve been taking hot showers pretty much everyday of my life.
I just finished Death Note last week, and I finished Welcome to the NHK just a few hours ago. Now I’m watching Nodame Catabile mostly because I feel like watching light-hearted stuff after Death Note ended up sucking after L died. It would also be nice to have a new shounen mecha series to watch, cuz one episode of Code Geass per week isn’t really cutting it for me. Plus it’s not really mecha-centric seeing as how half the show is tits, and the other half is practically yaoi, while the other half is nonsensical “zomg crazy strategy that wouldn’t work in real life.” Still, I watch it because it entertains, I suppose.
Not running for the past three days has kind of crappy. I’m probably going to run intermittently for the next 2 weeks, running around 40 minutes every 2 or 3 days, mostly to make sure that I don’t burn out late in the summer or early in the fall. I need to double up a few days this summer to make sure I can hit the mileage I need to run sub 16:45 and help our team get to nationals, but I’m not sure when the hell I’ll be able to, seeing as how my job requires me to leave the house by 8:00 every weekday. I guess I’ll double up on saturdays and run 7 days a week, doing a shorter recovery run on sundays. But I still need to find at least one other day in the week that I can double up if I’m busy on saturday or sunday.
I’m not confident at all going into the Brawl tourney. I haven’t practiced nearly as much as Greg or Aaron (who doesn’t even own a Wii!) and I haven’t really figured out the Diddy Kong metagame.
Plan seems to be moving along nicely so far. I have 10 days left, and I can think of at least 3 trump cards that i can pull if things take a bit of a dive. (I seriously doubt that this case needs my involvement though, just based on its main components)
I can’t really expect future posts to be nearly as long since I’ve posted a few days’ worth of thoughts here. Spent a lot of time talking to sam the past few days. There’s hardly a need to post stuff on the internet when sam is dumb enough to tell stan. It’s like practically asking to have someone bitch to you about the same topic for days on end. Note to self never to tell stan anything that could be significant.
